Regional Underwriting Manager – Hampshire - £40,000 - £50,000 dependent on market experience, plus excellent benefits.
Our client is a leading commercial insurance provider specialising in property, liability and motor classes of business. This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving organisation at a time of exciting growth.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
Proven technical abilities across all commercial lines within the Commercial Underwriting arena.
Proven track record in development.
Team leader/management capabilities.
Operational performance and account analysis skills.
Ability to act as mentor giving guidance to less experienced underwriters where required.
Ability to design and deliver training if required.
Skills to analyse performance of the book and where necessary develop strategic plans for portfolio management addressing any underwriting aspects across the book.
ACII qualified as a preference.
Ability to work in a fast paced, energetic team environment with a commitment to deliver growth targets.
Ability to deputise for Regional Manager at Operational meetings etc.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven track record in Sales and Operational Management
Experience of developing business plans and delivery against targets
Strong leadership skills
Strong knowledge of local market
Preferably ACII or FCII qualified
