Sales Executive
Hampshire, Southampton Up to £20,000 + OTE £25,000
Do you have previous telephone sales experience? We have an exciting opportunity!
We are currently seeking an experienced sales person to join our well established client’s team based in Southampton.
The role of Telesales Executive will be to grow and enhance existing and new business working directly with decision-makers, influencers and network/IT Managers within the Government sector.
As a Telesales Executive, you will be responsible for;
• Managing all sales aspects of existing customer accounts
• Optimising the potential of all sales leads and calls
• Ensure monthly/quarterly/annual pre-set targets are hit
• Meeting with customers in the company showroom, attending events and exhibitions
• Maintaining a professional, organised communication with your customer base in compliance with companies business standards and practices
• Fully understand business practices, ethics, products and services
• Fully understand your customers requirements and be able to confidently recommend solutions and alternatives
• Update and maintain records on a contact database, with details of calls, e-mails and letters and quotation/sales activities
• Ensure that the customer base knows and understand complete product range
• Providing accurate sales forecasting figures to the Sales Manager
• Preparing regular sales and contact reports for Sales Manager
• Support the work of the sales department, and make a general contribution to the business
The successful candidate will have;
• At least one-year’s experience in telephone sales
• Have an excellent telephone manner
• Good organisational skills in such tasks as scheduling and forward planning
• Maintain a good supportive relationship with team members and all other staff
• Ability to demonstrate previous sales with customers within a targeted environment
• Have the ability to work on your own initiative with a desire to be successful
• Ability to provide after sales customer service
• Must possess and be able to demonstrate excellent communication, problem solving skills
• IT Literate; MS Word/Excel knowledge essential; MS Outlook and PowerPoint an advantage.
• Previous experience with CRM software an advantage
• Interest in technology and in people
• Must be able to record all contact information accurately and concisely.
• Customer-facing experience would be an advantage (but not specific part of the role)
• Proactive targeting of potential customers within designated market/channel
• Must be able to use telephone and PC to maintain high call rates
• Team player
• Full, clean driving licence (a benefit but not essential).
